Examination Management

Create exams (offline or online), schedule subjects, configure grade rules, and manage student results.

Creating an Exam

  1. Navigate to Examinations in the sidebar.
  2. Select the Branch.
  3. Click "Create Exam".
  4. Enter:
    • Exam Name — e.g., "Mid-Term Examination 2026"
    • Exam Type — Unit Test, Mid-Term, Final, etc. (customizable via "Manage Exam Types")
    • Start Date and End Date
    • Online Exam toggle — enable for digital exams where students take exams on the platform
    • Grace Period — extra minutes before auto-submit (online exams only)
  5. Click Save.
💡 Online vs Offline: Online exams allow you to build papers, conduct exams digitally, and auto-evaluate. Offline exams use traditional result entry.

Scheduling Subjects

  1. Click the Schedule icon on an exam card.
  2. Select the Class.
  3. For each subject, enter Date, Start Time, End Time, and optional Room.
  4. Click Save Schedule.
  5. For online exams, a "Paper" column appears — see Online Exams.

Entering Results (Offline Exams)

  1. Click the View Results icon on an exam.
  2. Select the Class and Subject.
  3. Enter Max Marks and Obtained Marks for each student.
  4. Grades are auto-calculated based on Grade Rules (if configured).
  5. Click Save Results.

Grade Rules

Configure grade rules per branch to auto-assign grades:

Exam Types

Click "Manage Exam Types" to create custom exam categories per branch (e.g., Unit Test, SA-1, Mid Term, Final). These appear in the Exam Type dropdown when creating an exam.
